Ray Shepherd is a relative newcomer to stamp collecting and as such decided that rather than compete with long term collectors, he would research a topic and use philately to illustrate it. The topic of this evening was the rise of the Nazi party from 1933 to its peak in 1942, by which time Germany had conquered most of Europe. Ray used a Powerpoint presentation to talk through his material, and also displayed very informative sheets which included a wide range of contemporary stamp issues as well as commemorative stamps issued since the war.
